When Street interviews goes wrong in Germany
great video! nice to hear so many different perspectives.
austrians are ALSO germans, like bavarians or saxonians. Habsburgs were rivalising with prussia who will unify germany: austria or prussia
Both are boring central europeans with pedantic opinions
What foreigners and many German Berlin-haters overlook is that Berlin is absolutely not just an international party city with drugs, dirt, and crime. Like Munich, Berlin has world-famous museums, concert halls, opera, orchestra. Berlin, like Munich, has native inhabitants, but you no longer find them in the center of Berlin. I know many real Berliners as a (German) incomer and I think Berliners are simply the chilliest and funniest people there are. The first time I was invited to a family celebration by a Berliner friend, it was a complete culture shock but also extremely funny to experience the "Berliner Schnauze" (typical Berliner attitude) - and it still exists - up close. Many people, even those who live in Berlin, see the city much too superficially. Yes, there is a different mindset, everything is more relaxed, but also more chaotic, especially when you need something from the authorities, you can also hate it. But Berlin can also be beautiful and quiet with its huge public parks, its deep forests. Every district in Berlin has its own charm and its own personality, Prenzlauer Berg is completely different from Wedding even though they are right next to each other, a completely different population, a completely different culture. Charlottenburg is completely different from Tempelhof, the outer districts are completely different from the inner ones. And that's what I love about Berlin: Berlin is what you want it to be. What you focus on. For the haters, it's a filthy city without administration and full of immigrants. For those who love it, it is what fuels and enables all their own interests and hobbies.
10:40 she nailed it
but stil almost every other country or land thinks we’re fat people who only drink beer
9:37 I know you rewinded that!
I believe Germans would not care about the opinions expressed and concentrate more on the unacceptably shoddy autofocus job in this video
Zu wenig richtige Deutsche dort. Nur viele Türken, Rumänen, Bulgaren. Dieser Ort hat keine Hoffnung mehr.
Anybody is allowed to produce videos and try to monetize his ideas. Picking a topic in which the nuances between the two Germans - (Germany /Austria) can lead to confusion and misunderstandings - by somebody - who is adding an additional layer of confusion. The people he interviews - do not understand what he is asking - nor does he get the fine points since German is not a language he is proficient in - is about as smart as if a blind person is lecturing color-blind people in photographic color management.
I - as a german - think that the collective memory of the people in this country is filled with depressing things. Blame, the need to be diligent, effective, hard working (no matter how you feel). This is how our parents and grandparents were raised. Documentations about world war II on TV channels every night (one or two channels at least broadcast these documentations). The lack of ease in our identity. When I come back from a holiday in a different country, I look at the people, almost no one is smiling at you.
Don’t mention the war!
because Turkish men (and their families) are TOXIC JEALOUS ABUSIVE (from what I've seen)
4:30 Die Kuhefrau zerstreute mich.😂
Austrians convinced the world that Hitler was German and Bethoveen was Viennese
In my opinion you can only love the English. In many ways we are actually the same, but not always. I would say it's a bit of a "love-hate relationship" because of our histories with each other but also the mutual understanding that we're not all that different. I feel for this Brexit thing and if it were up to me, i had brought them back to us years ago. I visited it much in the past but you know how the situation is today. For me, there is no real hatred against the British - I think the British and French like each other even less. The only thing that bothers me is that they absolutely have to drive in the left lane - why are you doing that England?😫You have to switch to the "right side".🤣
as German i can only say that the issue with punctuality nowadays is that people lost their sense or urgentness to be punctual... if you ask more elderly people in German they see punctuality as a must and a sign of respecting by being on time you show that you value the other's time.. younger generations which are more self-centered and less society centered (growing up during the after war time made being a functional cog of society more important) seem to be comfortable to be there on their own time / accord. i myself am a bit of a more punctual German i rather be 15 minutes early than 5 minutes late i sometimes go out of my way to stand 15 minutes around the corner waiting just to be there within time.
26 / 5,000 Girls don't like their own country boy no problem
If Germans are not easy to make friends then it is good and let them have thier own inner circle. I like that of environment.❤
ruclips.net/video/sYNDOrTwEAs/видео.html TWO DIFFERENT CULTURES
Very interesting
Germans, Saxons, Franks, we're all more or less the same. baffles me why we havent formed into a federal entity after we all stopped fighting world wars and having overt empires.
Love the Germans
I went to Germany, they were such nice people
The leader of Germany in 1939 highly respected the British and was loathed to go to conflict. His dream alliance was with the UK. Don't shoot the messenger, just stating part of history that's relatively unknown.
Their English is very.. very good. Better than our German!
I was lucky enough to spend some of my childhood in Singapore in the early 70s, in my school were kids from all over the world. I had some really good mates who were from Germany. We realised that we were the first generation whose parents suffered as kids in the war. It didnt' see to matter to us...........we were simply great mates.
Germany still values maxi traditions, politics change ideaology doesn’t Israel backing genoicdal state
Are you asking Germans if they don’t trust a statistics? 😂
It's amazing in Germany you can literally do anything without anyone interrupting
A lot of these things that they say Germans are strict about are just basic norms that everyone should follow. I dont want to walk on the pavement and have cyclists ringing their bells behind me doing three times my speed, oh, and please don't hold train doors open, it's inconsiderate and can cause problems even if you think it won't (I am a Londoner, I see it all the time, the train drivers hate it just as much here!). This isn't a German thing, it's just basic consideration. Yes, the Germans are more Karen-ey about it but sometimes I wish we polite Brits could do the same.
Yeah maybe the people who are not able to differ between directness and rudeness are those who are not respecting the culture of the country they're in. It's just normal people get rude if you don't follow basic social rules of a society like being loud at night in a culture which is used to quietness or if you ride your bike on the pavement in a culture which archived high social standards and want's keep them. For example Germany has almost 6x less dead people in traffic accidents than India (4 vs 23 per 100k). How is it rude if they want to keep things safe and civilized. Not respecting rules in other countries is the real rudeness
yOU LIKE ONE OF THE GUYS IN THE SERIE PEAKY BLINDERS
I can understand the Germans English better than the brits!
Im from Italy and my cultural shock in Germany would be people organising life 243194019450194 months ahead with calendars lol. I dont think its normal. I guess I would befriend South European people only.
They are just way up their asses , speak german, don't speak gernan...just BS...they are just hoch nase!!! Eff em!!
I'm Indian and my partner's German and i was the one who asked him out. My advice - Pls ask them out directly. Do not wait for signs or games. Be polite though! But be direct, there's nothing to lose. It was fairly easy for me to ask because I'm the one who mostly makes the first move so there's that too. Pls especially straight women/women attracted to men, don't wait for the men to make the first move! And yeah we always split the bill/pay every alternate date.
u living in Germany so learn German all u shitheads!
BRAZIL
Ich bin Russin und finde beide Länder wunderschön. In beiden Ländern leben fantastische Menschen
English out drinking Germans it wouldn't happen Germany has the beer festivals but when it comes down to tasks Germans half to do it flawless no mistakes
It is hard. Germans are absolutely ignorant about other countries and cultures. In Germany is no freedom of speech and choice, people are lazy and don't like to work. Everything is very slow and DB is the worst railsystem ever. Rasicm is pretty common and have different forms. No digitalisation. Everything on paper. Horrible medicine and Service. Safety problem. Refugees problem. Bad food and bread. You have to have a car and druve license is very expensive. Germans are cold and nor freindly. Etc. But there are some pluses. Nice Architektur (not everywhere), polite people, it's clean, when it is not a big city. Small cities kinda safe. If you love stability, this is the best country: everything is like 20 years ago and people don't like changes. They care about animals, this is amazing. It is good for all kinda lgbtq members. If someone is racist toward you, you can sue him. Police is very nice and come to you even if neighbors listen music loud. 49€ Ticket, bycicle System is also nice. They garbage recycling.
I have spent a lot of time in France and Germany and way preferred the Germans.
Why was he so rude to that Croatian lady?
I just realised most of the people in this video speak atleast 3 languages.
I thought this was about the Brits not the English.
